Planning on leaving this Thursday the 29th of October..

Now before I tell you where we are going


HERE IS THE NEWS ABOUT THE PINK GALAH IN MY LAST JOURNAL.


Tony rang up about it and was told by some young person that it had a broken wing and it was taped up for now but she did not know if it was still there.. So we popped in when passing by the next day to find out more about it and the Vet who looked after it was not there and we were told to come back the next day at a certain time which we did.

A lovely lady Vet told us that the Galah was dehydrated and that's why it keep falling down, she also said many die because of that, so it was put on a drip then when better it was given to a Wildlife Carer who would set it free a few days later around this area where we found it, we were so pleased to find it would have been back in the wild by then.. I don't know why that young girl gave Tony the wrong Information maybe there were two Pink Galahs there..


WE WERE GOING TO SYDNEY THE CAPITAL OF NEW SOUTH WALES.


To see Taronga Zoo and Sydney Wildlife World to see the Butterflies, and all those sights, The Coathanger, The Opera house, Sydney Harbour, Darling harbour to name a few. We been waiting for our lovely neighbours to finish tripping around the countryside as they are looking after our chooks and the garden, now I find I cannot book flights with Qantas for when we want them unless we pay double the fare also having problems with finding a apartment close to the CBD as I have left it too late and all the reasonably priced ones are well booked out.. .. So we are not going to Sydney..

And as Tony is driving that's a little over 2,000 kms plus the running around as we can stop off where we want and when we want at a Motel or hire a Cabin in a Caravan Park, also hoping to stay around Stuart Point on the East Coast of New South Wales that's in Australia or somewhere close for a couple of days of rest and relaxation so I will be able to get some Sunrise pics, would like to do some fishing and just plain nothing for a while actually I am not a do nothing person either is Tony I don't know why I wrote that I will be very busy with my and what a workout that new Telephoto Lens will get at the open plains Zoo. We have not been there for 15 years and we are both looking forward to driving around that Zoo as Tony wont have to cart my camera gear around I can leave that heavy lens still attached to the tripod on the back seat of the car..

Dubbo Western Plains Zoo is just under 900 kms from home and we have to go through some very winding steep mountain roads to get to the Newell Highway which runs right through the middle of Queensland and New South Wales and to make matters worse I hate mountain roads especially when there is a huge Semi on our tail that gathers up speed on the steep downward run and why is it that the side I am sitting on is the one that has the best scenery like down the bottom of a chasm, by time we get out of there I will be a basket case.
